Ishida Showcases Packaging and Inspection Solutions at IFFA 2025
Ishida will introduce several innovations at IFFA 2025 in Frankfurt (May 3-8), addressing key challenges in the meat and poultry processing industry, including the launch of the QX-800 tray sealer.
At this international event, the company will present the QX-800 tray sealer, a compact high-capacity packaging solution. In addition, Ishida will showcase its latest inspection and production monitoring technologies, such as the IX-PD-Poultry X-ray inspection system and Sentinel 5.0, an AI-powered platform for real-time production analysis.
QX-800 Tray Sealer
The new QX-800 tray sealer is designed for high-volume production lines, offering a capacity of up to 17 MAP cycles per minute. Thanks to its compact design, the machine reduces floor space requirements by over 40%, while cutting energy consumption by 50% compared to traditional models, according to Ishida.
Bone Fragment Detection
Food safety remains a top priority in meat and poultry processing. The IX-PD-Poultry X-ray inspection system is specifically designed to detect bone fragments and other contaminants in high-speed processing lines. Using Photon-Counting Dual-Energy (PD) technology, the system identifies even small wishbones, ribs, and fan bones with high accuracy. With a capacity of 400 poultry pieces per minute, it enables food producers to maintain strict quality standards without compromising processing speed.
AI-Driven Production Optimization
Ishida will also demonstrate Sentinel 5.0, an AI-powered monitoring system that analyzes real-time data from both Ishida and non-Ishida machines. The system provides instant performance insights and detects potential issues to minimize production losses. Additionally, Sentinel 5.0 features an AI chatbot, allowing operators to ask questions and receive troubleshooting suggestions, according to the company.
