DS Smith Plastics Injection Moulded Products heeft onlangs de herbruikbare keg pallet geïntroduceerd die geschikt is voor alle soorten fusten.
De nieuwe spuitgegoten Euro kunststof pallet (80/120 euro formaat) is vanaf augustus op de markt en is geschikt voor alle soorten fusten. De vorige kunststof pallets waren alleen geschikt voor Euro-vaten, stelt DS Smith.
Verbeteringen
De gepatenteerde verbeteringen voorkomen schuren op de ondergrond, “winterband”-achtige pluggen regelen een goede vorklift handling en sterke remblokjes zorgen voor een stabiele belasting en dat de vaten stevig op hun plaats blijven staan. Hiermee is een kunststof wrap overbodig en dat bespaart kosten, verminderd afval en verbetert de duurzaamheid, claimt het bedrijf.
Post-consumer materiaal
De pallets voor fusten kunnen worden geproduceerd van 100% post-consumer materiaal zonder naar eigen zeggen afbreuk te doen aan de stijfheid en specificaties van de pallets die gemaakt zijn van nieuw materiaal. Daarbij zijn de pallets aan het einde van hun levensduur 100% recyclebaar.

The new injection moulded Euro pallet (80/120 euro format) will be on the market from August 2019 and is suitable for all type of kegs. Previous plastic pallets were only suitable for Euro kegs, according to DS Smith.
Improvements
The patented improvements prevent scuffing with rims on the lower deck, “rain-tire”-like plugs to guarantee fork lift handling and strong skids that ensure stable loading and that the kegs are held securely in place. With this, the need for plastic wrap will be reduced, which can lower cost, reduce waste and improve sustainability, claims the company.
Post-consumer material
The keg pallets can be made from 100% post-consumer material without compromising the rigidity and specifications of those made from virgin material. Additionally, at the end of their long lifespan, the pallets are 100% recyclable.
