Het nieuwe instituut maakt het voor Nestlé naar eigen zeggen mogelijk haar inspanningen te versnellen om functionele, veilige en milieuvriendelijke verpakkingsoplossingen op de markt te brengen en de wereldwijde uitdaging van kunststof verpakkingsafval aan te gaan.

Het Nestlé Institute of Packaging Sciences richt zich op een aantal wetenschaps- en technologiegebieden, zoals onder andere hervulbare of herbruikbare verpakkingen, gerecyclede verpakkingsmaterialen en biobased, composteerbare en biologisch afbreekbare materialen.

The new institute enables Nestlé to accelerate its efforts to launch functional, safe and environmentally friendly packaging solutions, and to accept the global challenge of plastic packaging waste.

The Nestlé Institute of Packaging Sciences focuses on a number of science and technology fields, such as among others refillable or reusable packaging, recycled packaging materials and biobased, compostable and biodegradable materials.
