Smurfit Kappa Bag-in-Box ontwikkelde de Thermo Bag om tegemoet te komen aan de specificaties van hot filling, wat een gebruikelijke methode is in de drankenindustrie. Tijdens hot filling wordt het product geperst, gefilterd, gepasteuriseerd en gevuld op hoge temperatuur voor het vergemakkelijken van sterilisatie, en dan meteen gekoeld voor behoud en smaak. During hot filling, the product is pressed, filtered, pasteurised, heated and filled at high temperature to facilitate sterilisation and then immediately cooled for preservation and taste. This method has the advantage of extending shelf life, removing any harmful microorganisms, reducing costs and simplifying the process.
