De gerecyclede grondstoffen voor de luchtkussenfolie AIRplus Void Recycle komen deels uit de eigen productie van Storopack en worden aan het productieproces toegevoegd in de vorm van gerecycled plastic granulaat. De rest van het gerecyclede materiaal wordt extern ingekocht.
‘Recycling is een continu proces om materialen efficiënt en duurzaam te gebruiken. Want vaak is het mogelijk om met restmaterialen nieuwe beschermende verpakkingen te maken zonder afbreuk te doen aan de essentiële eigenschappen’, legt Hermann Reichenecker, executive director bij de Duitse verpakkingsfabrikant, uit.
Het bedrijf gebruikt al enige tijd gerecyclede grondstoffen voor een hele reeks verpakkingsmiddelen. Het productaanbod omvat ook PAPERplus buffers die volledig gemaakt zijn van gerecycled materiaal, en de verpakkingschips Alta S, die voor meer dan 90% bestaan uit gerecycled EPS.

The recycled raw materials for the bubblewrap film AIRplusVoid Recycle is partly from own production of Storopack and is added to the production process in the form of recycled plastic granulate. The rest of the recycled material is externally purchased.
‘Recycling is a continuous process to use materials efficiently and sustainably. Because it is often possible to produce new protective packaging with residues without compromising the essential characteristics’, explains Hermann Reichenecker, Executive Producer at the German packaging manufacturer.
For some time, the company uses recycled raw materials for a whole series of packaging materials. The product range also includes PAPERplus buffers that are made entirely from recycled material, and the packaging chips Alta S, which consist of more than 90% of recycled EPS.
