Plus Pack, producent van aluminium en kunststofverpakkingen, heeft voor het tweede achtereenvolgende jaar een WorldStar Packaging Award in ontvangst mogen nemen voor één van haar innovatieve oplossingen.
Dit jaar was de Ready2Cook Skin Packaging Solution van de Deense verpakkingsfabrikant het product dat gekwalificeerd was voor deelname aan de wedstrijd na het winnen van een Alufoil Trophy 2018 in april.
Voordelen
De verpakking heeft naar eigen zeggen diverse voordelen, zoals onder andere Hygiënisch (de skinverpakking technologie biedt bescherming van het voedsel); Gemak (de aluminium verpakking is te gebruiken als een bakplaat, omdat het direct in de oven of op de grill kan worden geplaatst); het is voorzien van Handvatten voor gebruiksgemak.
Circulaire economie
Omdat het aluminium van de verpakking volledig recyclebaar is, is het een duurzame hulpbron die bijdraagt tot het handhaven van een circulaire economie. Het platte ontwerp van de verpakking zorgt ook voor minder materiaal in vergelijking met andere, traditionele food verpakkingsoplossingen, stelt Plus Pack.
De organisatie van de WorldStar Packaging Awards is in handen van de World Packaging Organisation (WPO).

Circular economy
Because the aluminium is fully recyclable, it is a sustainable resource which contributes to upholding a circular economy. The flat design of the packaging also creates less material compared to other, traditional food packaging solutions, says Plus Pack.
The organisation of the WorldStar Packaging Awards is directed by the World Packaging Organisation (WPO).
